Spare parts available for 15 years
Liebherr-Hausgeräte GmbH takes the service life of its high-quality appliances one step further for customers: The availability of spare parts will be extended to 15 years from the end of production of the model. This applies to all functional parts and storable equipment components. Liebherr-Hausgeräte also guarantees this service retroactively for all appliances manufactured from January 1, 2021.

Precise single-point calibration
For the most precise temperature control, laboratory appliances with electronic control units are equipped with a single-point calibration. This allows differences between the set temperature and the actual interior temperature to be compensated for. The compensation correction value can be changed in steps of 0.1 K.

Alarm relay
In the event of an alarm, the responsible central office is immediately informed. You can specify which alarms are forwarded, how long this forwarding is active and whether a reminder is issued after the alarm has ended.

Alarm test
An alarm is only good if it can be triggered. The alarm test can be used to check the functionality of the internal and, if applicable, external connected alarm system. The cooling of the appliance is not interrupted during the test run, so you can simulate emergency situations and rehearse the scenario with your team as you wish.

Clear information about the appliance
All information about the appliance should be available whenever you need it. That's why the serial number, service number and model designation of every Liebherr appliance can be found directly on the display. This saves you the frustration of having to search for this information on the appliance or having to clean the interior to be able to read the data at all.

Intuitive menu operation
Convenience at the touch of a finger: You can check the status of the appliance without opening the door - just look at the control panel integrated into the door. Navigating the menu is easy and can be controlled using symbols and voice control in up to 12 different languages. The display can be operated using three touch buttons or the Touch & Swipe function, even when wearing gloves.

Interchangeable door hinge
Liebherr appliances are equipped with door hinges on the right as standard. However, with minimal effort and without any additional parts, you can move the door hinge to the left. This gives you maximum freedom in choosing the installation location.

Interchangeable door seal
Save time and money: The snap-on door seal on Liebherr appliances can be replaced without any problems. You can replace damaged seals yourself without any tools.

Suitable for clean rooms
Liebherr refrigerators and freezers are a scientific series that has been tested for use in clean rooms in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14644. An additional risk assessment for the suitability of clean rooms by the customer is therefore no longer necessary. This saves time and money.

Demo mode
For training purposes or when used at exhibitions, the functions of the appliance can be simulated in demo mode without actually operating the appliance. This saves you time and money, as the cooling does not need to be switched on.

Interior with the possibility of convenient cleaning
The inner plastic insert is made of polystyrene, which is a fully recyclable, robust and odour-neutral plastic. Thanks to the one-piece design without joints, it has no hidden places where dirt can accumulate and can be cleaned very quickly and easily. The perfect combination of sustainability and hygiene.

Access for external sensors
For additional storage temperature control using a separate sensor, the cabling needs to be routed from the outside into the appliance. The cable routing here offers a clean and professional solution. The integrated opening allows for connection without drilling holes or damaging the door seal.

Freestanding set
The freestanding set allows the appliance to be built into a furniture set with an open side or top, creating a smooth surface that is easy to clean. Safe freestanding installation is also possible with the optional anti-tip device.

Height-adjustable
Can be individually adjusted and flexibly adapted: thanks to the four adjustable adjustment feet, the appliance can be adapted to the height of the niche from 82 cm to 88 cm.

Hidden customer menu
Protection, security and simplicity: The hidden customer menu contains information about the appliance, where detailed settings can be made for the appliance or where the factory settings can be restored. Since this information and settings are located in a separate, code-protected menu level, unwanted changes and unauthorized manipulation are prevented.

Hidden service menu
The hidden service menu allows individual device configuration, such as turning the alarm sound on/off, adjusting the setpoint ranges or changing the automatic defrost. By making these subtle changes, you can fine-tune the appliance to your specific needs.

Interval timer
The interval timer reminds you when the next basic cleaning or calibration is due. The interval can be selected at predefined intervals and set directly on the appliance, so you can focus only on your productive work.

Antimicrobial handle with opening mechanism
A benefit for the user, a bane for bacteria: The door is easy to open thanks to the easy-turn handle mechanism. It contains special antimicrobial substances that kill up to 99.99%* of bacteria. Regular, time-consuming disinfection is not necessary. This means that the appliance is extremely safe, even when many people have access to it. *In accordance with ISO 22196:2011

Manual defrosting
Leaving the door open or evaporating substances can cause frost to form on the evaporator, which can lead to temperature fluctuations and higher energy consumption. You can use the menu to start automatic defrosting to remove ice from the appliance, restore optimal storage conditions and reduce energy consumption.

Mechanical lock
All Liebherr professional appliances are equipped with a mechanical lock with two keys for storing temperature-sensitive products. This means you can be sure that no unauthorised hands have access to your stored goods.

Minimum and maximum temperature recording
The minimum and maximum temperature recording saves the relevant values from the interior and shows on the display whether the storage temperature is within the tolerance limits.

Virtually maintenance-free
Saves time, nerves and money: Liebherr professional appliances operate without filters or other components that need to be replaced or serviced regularly. All that is required is regular cleaning and calibration according to your individual needs.

Cleaning/disinfectant recommendations
Liebherr appliances are designed for a service life of 15 years. To achieve this, cleaning and disinfectant agents that Liebherr has tested for safety are recommended in the operating instructions or separately. This way, you can be sure that you are not damaging your appliance by actually wanting to take good care of it.

Eco-friendly refrigerant
Liebherr appliances are optimised for the best possible energy efficiency and low operating costs. Only the environmentally friendly natural refrigerants R 600a and R 290 are used. In combination with highly efficient compressors, they are extremely powerful and future-proof thanks to their low greenhouse gas potential.

Robust glass panels
More comfort for laboratories: The robust glass panels of the refrigerators and freezers with explosion-proof interior are easy to clean. They are easy to remove when the door is opened to approx. 90°.

+2 °C SafetyDevice
If the temperature drops below +2 °C due to a fault while the temperature is set to +5 °C or higher, the SafetyDevice takes over and stabilizes the temperature, activates the alarm and protects the contents from freezing. At lower set temperatures, the threshold for this activation is reduced according to the set temperature.

IEC 61010-2-011 standard
The refrigerators and freezers specially developed by Liebherr for storing temperature-sensitive products meet the CE safety requirements. This also guarantees all mechanical and electrical requirements for injury-free operation – so you and your employees are always safe.

Password protection settings
All settings that affect the function or operation of the appliance can be password-protected. This means that the contents are optimally protected against unwanted changes or manipulation of the storage conditions.

In accordance with the ATEX directive
Liebherr laboratory equipment complies with EN/IEC 60079-0 / EN-IEC 60079-7 and complies with EU Directive 2014/34/EU ("ATEX directive"). The interior classification in II 3 G Ex ec IIC T6 (declared as zone 22) makes it suitable for flammable substances in closed containers that could create explosive atmospheres.

The WiFi/LAN interface with retrofit option connects the appliances to external systems. For example, you can use the Liebherr SmartMonitoring solution to monitor and document the internal temperature.
